Mrs. Helen Godfrey Smith
Mrs. Helen Godfrey Smith is President/Chief Executive Officer of the
Shreveport Credit Union. Under Mrs. Smith’s leadership, the Shreveport
Credit Union has become one of the fastest growing credit unions in the
area, having grown from a small $1.9 million institution to a strong $60-million
plus institution. Mrs. Smith earned her B.S. degree in Chemistry from
Huston-Tillotson College in Austin, TX. She did post-graduate studies
at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is designated as a Certified
Credit Union Executive.
