Saturday, November 24, 2007 - Following GSU's successful win against Southern University, the GBG Foundation will host their first "Reclaiming the Legacy and Claiming Our Place Campaign Gala" at the JW Marriott, ILE DE FRANCE Ballroom, starting at 6:30 p.m. The evening will begin with heavy hors'douvers in the pre-function area with entertainment by our GSU Faculty Jazz combo; GSU Honors and Theater students will share vignettes from a Spring 2008 musical; and the concert featuring special guest artists will start at 9:00 p.m. For this signature event, we invite individuals, organizations, alumni chapters and corporations to purchase an AD in our Souvenir Program Booklet and reserve your seats no later than October 15, 2007. More information will follow.
March 26, 2007 - The annual "Business Drive" will begin March 26, 2007 with a Breakfast Meeting in the President's Dining Room followed by a tour of the campus. President Judson and Foundation Board Members will share an update on the University with local business leaders.
October 23, 2006 - Faculty-Staff Annual Fund Drive kicked off; The drive officially ends March 23, 2007 with a culminating event. Mr. Ralph Wilson, Advancement Office and Dr. Anthony Nelson, Interim Dean of College of Business are co-chairs of the drive. There are 12 building coordinators who are assisting the Co-chairs of the Faculty/Staff Annual Fund Drive.
October 8, 2006 - The Phonathon Center in the Advancement Office hired 12 students to contact alumni and parents inviting them to make gifts and pledges to the University through the Grambling Black & Gold Foundation. The students will continue contacting alumni and parents through May 1, 2007.
